The directions state to apply a generous amount to dry hair. Let sit a minute and then ruffle through and style. Do not wash away. The design cream is formulated for daily use.
Now I feel like I should mention I do not normally apply anything to my hair dry. The reason being my hair will usually get greasy quicker when I apply anything other than dry shampoo or hairspray to my dry hair. I did follow the directions and try this on my dry hair the morning after I washed my hair. It worked well enough, made my hair feel soft and smelled really good. I styled as usual and think my hair was softer with this product in.
The next time I tried this product I applied it to my wet hair in place of my normal leave in conditioner. Personally I was much happier with my results this way, it made my hair very soft and easy to brush through. When my hair dried I noticed it wasn't as frizzy as it normally is.
My final thoughts: This product smells very nice, and made my hair look and feel softer than it has been. I would recommend to anyone who would like their hair to look and feel softer, especially if they color their hair like I do.
